Itinerary
Day 01: JUNGLE TOUR – MONKEY ISLAND – NIGHT ALLIGATOR
When we arrive to Puerto Maldonado, the transfer will take us to the port of the river where we will take our boat to go our logde, we will cross the Madre de Dios river.
On the way we can observe the diverse flora and fauna of the place, among alligators, turtles, herons and others this will take us approximately 40 min. We arrived at the lodge. We will have a walk in the jungle for about 1-2 hours and begin to observe the plants and hopefully some animal. After the walk, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch of the place.
After lunch the guide will give us rubber boots to go to the island of monkeys where we will make a small walk in search of one of the 6 species of monkeys that live there.
Late in the afternoon we will have dinner and then go by boat in search of alligators if we are lucky we could catch one of them.
Day 02: SANDOVAL LAKE
This day we will have a good breakfast to make a long boat trip to Lake Sandoval. After having sailed approximately 1 hour we will undertake a walk in the jungle searching animals and plants. We can see monkeys, toucans, parrots, sloths … and a variety of butterflies, insects and birds! In the end we will arrive at the lake where we will have a small boat to start the tour Immersed in the majestic beauty of Lake Sandoval, where we will discover the life that surrounds these waters. The lake is a protected area where biologists try to recover giant otters. Today, 11 otters live around the lake with the hope that there will be more in the future. We will spend a few hours on the boat exploring the lake and discovering exotic species of monkeys, animals and birds. We will surely observe the hoatzin, a prehistoric and very beautiful bird.
Finishing the visit to the lake we will return walking towards the river to take our boat and return to the lodge.
Dinner and accommodation at the lodge.
* Optional: night walk through the jungle (if you are not very tired and the weather is good).
Day 03: ADVENTURE
We will take the breakfast and go to the jungle to do a little bird watching. We will cross a suspended bridge between the trees (canopy) and observe the magnificence of the jungle that surrounds us.
We are also going to do a little zip line and we will do kayaking on the river.
Return to the lodge and then to Puerto Maldonado. Transfer to the airport or bus station.
* If you are doing the 4-day tour, we will go fishing after the lunch and what we can do a night walk in the jungle. Return to Puerto Maldonado and transfer out after breakfast on day 4.

EXTRA INFORMATION:
- Large luggage could leave in our office in Puerto Maldonado, our boats are exclusive for passengers, it is recommended to carry a small backpack with what is necessary for your stay in the hostel.
- The bungalows do not have hot showers only cold ones.
- Single room will cost $ 80 extra (please contact us about it if you want to book in advance).
- Electricity will always be fair from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day in the country house (in order to take care of the environment).
- The hostel does not have Wi-Fi, internet or cell phone signal (but it works at the reception for any type of emergency).
- The tour operator is not responsible for giving reimbursements for out-of-control events, such as flight cancellations or bus tickets, our services begin at the time of arrival in Puerto Maldonado.
